After breakfast in the yurt, begin the most spectacular mountain section of the journey.
Today the trail gradually climbs toward Jalgyz-Karagai Pass, located at approximately 3,300 meters above sea level.
The ascent is more demanding than on the first day, but the changing scenery and panoramic mountain views make it one of the highlights of the tour.
Upon reaching the top of the pass, you will be rewarded with your first panoramic view of Song-Kol Lake, stretching across the vast high-altitude plateau below.
Take some time to rest, enjoy the scenery and take photographs before beginning the descent toward the lake.
After reaching Song-Kol, stop at a local yurt camp for lunch.
In the afternoon, continue riding across the open lakeside pastures, where traditional yurts, grazing horses, sheep and cattle create the classic landscape of nomadic Kyrgyzstan.
Arrive at your yurt camp near Song-Kol Lake, where you will spend the night with a local family.
After the horses are released to graze, settle into your yurt and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the highlands.
