Day by day program
After meeting your guide in Karakol, drive toward Karakol Gorge, one of the most beautiful mountain valleys in the Terskey Ala-Too Range.
The road follows the Karakol River and gradually enters a landscape of dense spruce forest, alpine meadows and impressive mountain peaks.
After reaching the campsite at approximately 2,550 metres, take some time to rest and prepare for your first hike.
Today we make a radial hike toward the foot of Karakol Peak, one of the most recognisable mountains in the region. The trail passes through alpine meadows and Tian Shan spruce forests while gradually gaining altitude.
During the hike, enjoy impressive views of surrounding glaciers and snow-covered peaks before stopping for a picnic lunch in the mountains.
Afterwards, return to the campsite.
The evening is spent in the peaceful atmosphere of Karakol Gorge, surrounded by forest and mountains.

Today is the most spectacular and demanding day of the trek.
After an early breakfast, continue climbing toward Ala-Kul Lake, one of Kyrgyzstan's most famous alpine lakes.
Located high in the Tian Shan Mountains, Ala-Kul is known for its intense turquoise colour and dramatic surroundings.
After reaching the lake, take time to enjoy the scenery before continuing toward Ala-Kul Pass, the highest point of the route at approximately 3,950 metres above sea level.
From the pass, weather permitting, there are panoramic views across Ala-Kul Lake, surrounding glaciers, mountain ridges and the valleys below.
After crossing the pass, begin the descent toward the Altyn Arashan Valley.
The landscape gradually becomes greener as the trail descends from the high alpine zone into the valley.
Arrive at the camp or yurt area in Altyn Arashan and enjoy a well-deserved rest after the most challenging day of the trek.

Wake up surrounded by the spectacular mountain scenery of Altyn Arashan, one of the most beautiful alpine valleys in the Terskey Ala-Too Range.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time in the valley before beginning the final trekking section of the journey. Altyn Arashan is famous for its natural hot springs, forested mountain slopes and views of the surrounding peaks.
The trail follows the Arashan River downhill toward Ak-Suu, passing through spruce forests, open mountain landscapes and a dramatic river gorge. Compared with the previous day, today's route is mostly downhill and offers a more relaxed finish to the trek.
After approximately 14 km of trekking, meet our vehicle near Ak-Suu and transfer back to Karakol.
Arrival in Karakol marks the end of your four-day Ala-Kul adventure.
After several days in the mountains, travellers can continue their journey around Issyk-Kul or spend an additional night in Karakol.

Walking Time: approximately 3.5–4.5 hours
Elevation Loss: approximately 700–1,000 m, depending on the vehicle pickup point
Starting Altitude: approximately 2,500 m
Finish: Ak-Suu village / vehicle pickup point
Transfer: Ak-Suu – Karakol
Accommodation: Not included / available in Karakol on request

After breakfast, enjoy some free time in the valley before beginning the final trekking section of the journey. Altyn Arashan is famous for its natural hot springs, forested mountain slopes and views of the surrounding peaks.
The trail follows the Arashan River downhill toward Ak-Suu, passing through spruce forests, open mountain landscapes and a dramatic river gorge. Compared with the previous day, today's route is mostly downhill and offers a more relaxed finish to the trek.
After approximately 14 km of trekking, meet our vehicle near Ak-Suu and transfer back to Karakol.
Arrival in Karakol marks the end of your four-day Ala-Kul adventure.
After several days in the mountains, travellers can continue their journey around Issyk-Kul or spend an additional night in Karakol.
