After breakfast, drive around 1 hour to the trailhead of Alatay Lake. The route begins with a gradual ascent through open valleys, followed by a scenic climb along a mountain gorge.
You may choose to ride horses instead of hiking if you prefer a more comfortable journey. Horse riding significantly reduces the effort and allows you to reach the lake faster while enjoying the landscapes at an easier pace. Upon reaching Alatay Lake, enjoy lunch on the shore while admiring or swimming in the crystal-clear turquoise water framed by high peaks.
After lunch, begin the descent back to the starting point and return to Toktogul by car. In the evening, drive to the local beach on Toktogul Reservoir and enjoy a relaxing swim to finish the day.

Return to Bishkek with a hike into Kok Moynok Canyon, often called Kyrgyzstan’s Grand Canyon for its stunning red formations.
